This is an amazing short film in full 1080p of Boston, in Massachusetts. This film features remarkable shots of Boston city at night, during the day, the city horizon, and more. This film was shot, created, and produced by HiiDefintion. I also created a custom sound track to fit this film perfectly. I got these outstanding shots using my new Canon Vixia HF S21 / S20 / S200 with a UV filter and a wide angle lens (WD H58), using MXP (24Mbps) mode and cinema mode at 24p frames per second. Most of these shots were taken at the waters edge, on top of skyscrapers, and within Boston. I edited this short film using Final Cut Express 4.0.1. and I color corrected most of the film to give this video a cinematic feel. How to shoot with Magical Photos Wide Angle Digital Camera
The only thing that almost no one knows the shooting with wide angle lens is that you can capture the stunning photography almost in secret, just holding the camera in a certain way.
Of course, much also depends on what angle lens you're using - and you have a wide range, from 16mm to 24mm fisheye and beyond, so you play a bit 'to see what lens is best suited to your needs and style. For me, the 24 mmlens> stands as an excellent choice, because it gives you heaps of 'space to shoot' and width distortion is barely perceptible.
Moreover, as mentioned, you can do magical things with a wide angle lens fitted to your favorite digital camera. Probably the best example of this is the picture of random people, such as around town or at a large folk festival. The wide angle literally leave you point the camera at your sidetarget but still allow you to capture exactly what you want in the second half.
It takes a little 'maneuvering to get this right so once you got your lens wide out and practice!
This is excellent when you want to capture a lifestyle big 'moment' or hit people but do not want to go in there and stick the camera right in someone's face. Some might think this is a covert approach, but frankly it is more a question of preserving the original sceneas possible. Sometimes people crack a pose or react negatively when they see a camera nearby - and this can ruin your picture moment quickly.
Of course we have just scratched the surface here but I hope this gives you a little peek 'in different ways you can use a wide-angle lens. The best way to know for sure if it is suitable for a camera and go shoot!
